CryoDragon is a full-service website and graphic design studio based out of Waterloo, Ontario. We are a small business that launched in 2015 with the sole purpose of providing other businesses with a wide range of solutions for their brand identity.
We excel at collaborating with our clients while listening and delivering on their web and graphic design needs. Throughout our process, we maintain full transparency in our activities and costs to create long-term partnerships with our clients.
With decades of combined experience in website design and graphics, we are fully committed to each of our clients and look forward to working with each and every one of them, no matter how large or small their project is.
Quick Fact: We named our business CryoDragon by merging the Greek prefix cryo for “icy cold” and the word drakon for “serpent”. It’s why our logo incorporates icy scales on a serpent-like dragon, curled into the shape of a “C”.

CryoDragon was born out of the passion of two best friends turned husband and wife. It’s not just a business to us; it’s our story, it’s our success, and it symbolizes our growth and dedication to our choices in life. We share this care and dedication to our craft with each of our clients, working with them and giving each project our all so that our clients get the best of what we have to give.
We aren’t in this business to be the biggest; we’re in it to make a difference in the businesses we work with. Our goal is to strive for perfection in each of the projects we work on, and to offer our best advice and options for clients to make their best choice.
Craig Christoff
President, Creative Director
Craig is the co-founder of CryoDragon Inc. and an experienced design professional who studied Advanced Web Design and Development at the University of Waterloo.
Having lived in various provinces, Craig has had the opportunity to work in a few prominent fields, including the health care, law enforcement, corporate management, manufacturing, educational and non-profit sectors.
Craig constantly upgrades his skills to the latest technology and is an expert in interpreting what clients need while applying creative solutions to build your brand.
Brenda Yasie Lee, PhD
Creative Director
Brenda co-founded CryoDragon Inc. to pursue her passion for digital and traditional art. She holds a PhD in the field of Nanotechnology and Biophysics from the University of Waterloo and lectures at the university on a regular basis.
Throughout her academic and professional career, Brenda has built many websites and designed detailed schematics and graphics for publications.
Brenda adds specialized experience to CryoDragon’s team and is always eager to meet new people and work with them to make sure their branding and design goals are met.

We get asked a lot of questions on a regular basis about our company name, our services, how we price our servicese, and ownership of material after a project is done. We’ve compiled a streamlined list of FAQ’s below in case you have the same questions that many others have had!
When we started out, we wanted a brand that would stand out, leave a mark, and symbolize what we are about. And what better mascot could we choose to symbolize legendary creations than a dragon?
Since we live in Canada, we wanted our dragon to live and survive up in the North. As a result, we decided on a frozen, icy dragon. We fused the Greek word for “icy cold”, cryo, with the word dragon to create CryoDragon.
Science Fact: Did you know that a real “cryodragon” was found in Canada and placed in the Azhdarchidae family in 2019? This Cryodrakon boreas is the only known pterosaur skeleton to have been found in our country!
For all projects at CryoDragon, you will be dealing with both Craig and Brenda as the only points of contact. We absolutely do not outsource any of our core services. Keeping everything in-house helps us save time, work efficiently, and ensure deadlines are being met for each of our clients.
We are very transparent with our prices and do not have any “hidden costs”.
Our pricing structure varies depending on the type of project we take on. For the majority of our website design and graphic design services, we charge an hourly rate of $80/hour + HST because every project is unique. Our photography and videography services are charged at an hourly rate of $120/hour + HST.
We do have several packages that we offer for website maintenance, website hosting, logo design and print design that have a flat project price.
At CryoDragon, we have a simple code that we always adhere to. For the duration of the project, CryoDragon owns the copyright for all design materials created and provided by our company. However, when the project is completed and the final payment has been received, that copyright and ownership is transferred to our clients. We make sure that you own everything at the end of each project.
Although we are based in Kitchener-Waterloo, we are flexible in our areas of service. We generally work on Waterloo website design projects along with those from surrounding areas like Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton and the GTA. However, with today’s technology in communication, we have and constantly work with clients throughout Canada and across the globe.
If you contact different web design or graphic design companies around Kitchener-Waterloo, surrounding areas, or between provinces, you’ll probably notice that the prices for a website will vary significantly. A quote for your website can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. Why is this?
Well, the simple answer would be a combination of experience, complexity, location and service. We have been around in the industry long enough to know that a website can be made easily with the help of all the website builders available to consumers nowadays. But these sites are usually quite limited in what they can do because they are stuck to a rigid template. To be able to design and develop a good and attractive website that extends past the limitations of a rigid template takes time, knowledge, and skill. It’s this skill and experience that sets different companies apart, and it is what clients pay for in the end.
At CryoDragon, we specialize in design, development and support. We are extremely good at design (both aesthetic design and user experience design), and we know how to code. Most importantly, we provide our professional input and advice for our clients’ online and design needs.
